Even experienced players can find Silent Hill f challenging to complete. The puzzle mission in the treasure room proved particularly challenging for some. In this article, we’ll explain in detail what you need to do to complete it.
The Fresco Riddle
In the disturbing atmosphere of the Shimizu residence in Silent Hill F, you’ll face a unique challenge: finding and collecting all the crests needed to complete an entire chapter. These symbols are keys to the mysteries hidden deep within the house, and each discovery will bring you closer to solving them. Below, you’ll find a detailed step-by-step walkthrough with all the screenshots.
Scale Puzzle
One of the first challenges will be the scale puzzle. Upon reaching the required room, you’ll notice a massive antique scale, which you’ll need for the rest of the puzzle. Carefully place a headless doll on the left side, and the dolls you’ve found previously on the right. The balance of the scales will activate, the mechanism will work, and you’ll receive a plate depicting Libra—one of the most important coats of arms.
Bird and Fox Plate Puzzle
First, you need to find a picture frame – it’s located in one of the rooms marked on the map.
We go up to the third floor of the building and pick up a piece of wax and a tube from a propane tank. These items will be useful later.
After collecting the items, head to the first floor, to the room with the disturbing painting. Insert the frame you found into the empty space and rotate it. The symbol of the White Bird and Fox will appear on the canvas, but don’t celebrate yet—an enemy will attack. After defeating him, you can collect the plate, and use everything you’ve collected throughout the game.

To obtain the plate and sword, start in the kitchen on the first floor, where the required key is located. Use the propane tube to melt the wax to access the hidden mechanisms.
After that, head to the third floor, open the locked door, and retrieve the coat of arms. The screenshot shows the location.
Now you will have enough pieces to return to the My Room puzzle.
The final puzzle
Solving this puzzle requires attentiveness and analytical skills. The coats of arms are inserted into the panel in random order and must be moved. The plate with the sword image must move to the left. Rotate the plate with the scales so that the image disappears. Leave the top piece as is, and place the plate with the fox on the right side. A clue to the correct placement is hidden in the journal—it’s worth studying the notes carefully to uncover the hidden logic. Successful completion will reveal the Pine emblem. This is what you need to enter the red door from which Shu’s voice is heard.
