Gameplay
Horror Field is a multiplayer survival horror game with an asymmetrical gameplay model. The action game draws inspiration from the concept of a well-known representative of the genre, Dead by Daylight, and is aimed at an audience that appreciates a tense atmosphere. The gameplay is based on the confrontation between a group of four survivors and one antagonist-killer. The events unfold within the gloomy and confined spaces of an abandoned bunker, which enhances the feeling of claustrophobia and hopelessness.
The main task of the team of survivors is cooperative. For a successful rescue, it is necessary to jointly start several electric generators to unblock the escape routes. At the same time, you are pursued by a ruthless hunter who will try to kill each member of the team at all stages, and it will be difficult to stop him. Additional tactical depth is provided by the mechanics of crafting items. In specially designated workshops, players can make and improve equipment items, including protective gear and auxiliary tools.
The gameplay is enriched with a specialization system. You will have a choice of seven different survivor characters, each with a unique set of skills. One of the heroes is able to move around the location faster, another specializes in providing medical care to wounded comrades, and the third demonstrates increased efficiency when interacting with technical devices. A similar classification system is provided for the antagonists: there are seven types of killers, differing in their hunting style and pursuit abilities.
The project’s atmosphere is supported by elaborate 3D graphics. The visual style is characterized by the use of a dark color scheme, which is depressing and creates an anxious mood. Sound design plays an important role in the gameplay. A positional sound system has been implemented, thanks to which the antagonist can navigate in space, relying on the screams of his victims and clearly audible steps. The process of tracking will be unforgettable.
