The famous mustachioed plumber Mario, who won the hearts of players back in the early 90s, continues to delight fans. The character has become a symbol of an entire era of video games, having received a new life in the Super Mario Odyssey project, released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch console. The developers offered a fresh look at the classic series, preserving the recognizable style, but completely rethinking the game mechanics. In Super Mario Odyssey you will find yourself in a full-fledged three-dimensional world with realistic shadows and volumetric objects. The story follows the usual pattern: the princess is kidnapped, and our hero-plumber goes to save his beloved. Despite the classic plot, the passage surprises with the variety of locations – from city rooftops to deep ravines.
During his journey, Mario meets many characters. Some of them can be controlled, others act as assistants in the fight against obstacles and enemies. Although the game does not support a joint mode, the single-player mode is filled with bright moments, unexpected turns and funny situations. The technical side of the game is perfectly adapted to the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch. Colorful graphics, smooth animation and dynamic music create a unique atmosphere of fun and adventure.
