Gameplay
Created by Four Quarters for the 41st Ludum Dare on the theme of combining two disparate genres, Roulette Knight combines RPG and Russian roulette. You must find a way to survive each round of a challenging game that relies heavily on chance. To start the game, load bullets into the gun by clicking on the chamber in the lower right corner. Click on the side view of the cylinder to spin it, and click on the trigger to fire.
You may not succeed on your first few tries, but don’t give up! The longer you hold out, the more money and experience you’ll get. You can spend your money at the shop, which is indicated by a stack of coins. At the shop, you can buy items like bigger guns or better armor. Some items have drawbacks, like curses, while others may take a while to appear.
You will start with one area of the map. Each section of the map has a minimum number of bullets that must be loaded into the chamber. Once a section of the map is full, no money is awarded for playing in that area. Go to the map in the upper left corner to find newly opened areas with different challenges. As you gain experience, you level up and earn skill points. Skill points can be used in the skill point tree.
